The NMS-SDM-AM335X is a low-power, low cost and high performance System-On-Module which serves as a building block and easily integrates into any embedded solution. It includes an extensive range of interfaces and communication protocols and is ready to run any embedded operating system such as Linux and Windows Embedded CE. The module equipped with Wi-Fi & Bluetooth chip and there are connectors for external antennas.

Supporting the 1 GHz Sitara™ AM335x ARM Cortex-A8 processor from Texas Instruments (TI) with a rich 2D/3D graphics accelerator, The NMS-SDM-AM33x provides a low-cost powerful and flexible selection across the full spectrum of applications. the feature set includes -40 to 85°C temperature range and dual CAN bus make it ideal for industrial applications such as automotive, control systems, lighting, motor control and agriculture. With dual Ethernet, USB, touch controller, audio and Wi-Fi/BT, the NMS-SDM-AM33x is a highly integrated SoM in a very attractive price range.

Processor

The AM335x microprocessors, based on the ARM Cortex-A8 processor, are enhanced with image, graphics processing, peripherals and industrial interface options such as EtherCAT, PROFIBUS, Ethernet Powerlink and Sercos.

Additionally, the programmable nature of the PRU-ICSS, along with its access to pins, events and all system-on-chip resources, provides flexibility in implementing fast, real-time responses, specialized data handling operations, custom peripheral interfaces, and in offloading tasks from the other processor cores of SoC.

Additional connectors

There are two microcoaxial connectors for external antennas for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

Version information

Modules with version V3 and V4 are identical and they can easily replace each other. The difference is only in topology of PCB.

So NMS-SDM-AM33x-V3 is the same as NMS-SDM-AM33x-V4

Software support

Modules are provided with already installed firmware, incluiding U-BOOT, Linux kernel, rootfs image.
